All you need is 1/2 a cup of fresh blueberries (frozen will do)and eat this with a cup of low fat or fat free milk. However you can if you wish replace the blueberries with a muffin or other breakfast pastry. But the amount of calories in these must be the same as that would be found in the blueberries.

Menu 3 - For something that really is quick and easy to prepare for breakfast. Take 2 slices of whole wheat bread and toast them. Then to provide a little more flavor to the bread lightly spread over each slice 2 tablespoons of peanut. As well as the toast with this breakfast you can have a cup of tea or coffee and a small banana.

To help further to keep your diabetes under control it is important that you try and eat your breakfast at the same time each morning. Also at no time should you miss having any kind of breakfast whatsoever.
